New Shota Anime Slated for 2010
Studio 37c, the studio behind the Boku no Pico set, is planning a new shota anime OVA slated for 2010.
The ero-anime, Shounen Maid Kuro-kun, is based on the original manga by Masaki Hiiragi. The premise of the manga is that Kuro-kun (or Curo-kun) incurs the debts of his father and must pay them off by being sold into servitude and becomes a boy maid. Begetting the genre, you can guess what happens as he provides a maid’s “services” and obeys his “master’s” orders. *blush*
There are mixed expectations for this upcoming shota anime. There are those who are looking forward to it with the same enthusiasm they had for Boku no Pico; while others question whether or not it will be another “chicks with d*cks” shota special. Many complained that Pico and friends were too feminine to really enjoy the anime and they hope this title won’t follow suite.

S-Pistols Website Update!!
There’s yet another new flash animation on the S-Pistols website! Looks like they’re still focusing on the Yonekuni and Shirou story-line. However, this doesn’t mean fans of Kunimasa and Norio will be left in the dark! ~_^
Also, there is an addition to the web banners! In case there are those who missed the info, by registering and posting the banner as an affiliate* you’ll get a super secret sneak peak of the OVA’s promotional video. The second web banner is animated.
The first OVA will be release December 2009 and the second sometime in 2010. The PV should be out either late summer or sometime in the fall.
It also looks like an interview with Tarako Kotobuki has also been added to the site!

S-Pistols manga was licensed by Blu (Tokyopop’s imprint for yaoi titles) as Love Pistols and currently has five volumes available in the US. Check ‘em out!

Expanded Info. on “Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru”
In the upcoming October issue of Asuka (Kadokawa Shoten) magazine on August 24 Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru‘s anime adaption will be formally announced as well as the cast*.
The series by Hotaru Odagiri has been running in the monthly magazine since 2005. There are currently 5 volumes of the manga out right now in Japan with the sixth volume being shipped on August 26th. There are at least 2 drama CDs out in Japan* and if they get the same cast for the anime as the drama CDs – we’ll be looking at a very line lineup in deed!

YaoiLine’s Blog’s Announced on Twitter
YaoiLine has a blog! True it’s been online for a few days now, but I wanted to post a few things before making it well known!
What can you expect from YaoiLine? Well… I plan on having reviews of yaoi, shonen-ai, and even slashable titles; articles on the latest yaoi news bit; readers’ suggested content (see below); and any yaoi related information or articles I come across!
Suggest content for me to cover! Did you happen to come across a really great yaoi/shonen-ai webcomic, manga, novel, or artist that you feel could use some more exposure? Suggest that I interview/cover them and I probably will! Send me a link or any necessary information and I’ll do my best to get a hold of what ever it is and write about it!
Or maybe you noticed a news bit that I missed?! Lemme know and you’ll get credited for the find and it’ll get posted! Keep in mind I do this on the side for fun so I can’t always catch everything, but I love to write and do research so I always try my hardest! X3

Slashable Title Review: 07-Ghost

While this title is technically not yaoi or even shonen-ai; the main cast is most (if not all) male, they are all bishie guys, and 07-Ghost is written by two popular yaoi/shonen-ai döjinshi artists. If you’re the same type of person I am; you’re going to start searching for some of the döjinshi titles now, right? You’ll find them under the names of Amemiya Kazuyuki & Ichihara Tetumo and their circle is known as Yukimachi. 
Where does the appeal lie? Teito Klein is our brooding main character that refused to allow anybody into his heart; except for one– Mikage. He and Teito hold a closer than friends, more like brothers, relationship. Mikage even goes so far as to sacrifice his innocence to help Teito escape from the military. While on the run Teito finds sanctuary in a massive church in a neighboring kingdom and finds himself under the care and protection of some extremely unique clergymen.
Besides the eye-candy art style– the writing is simply amazing! The plot continuously teases you with clues towards solving Teito’s shrouded past and towards the equally vague history of the priests, the kingdom, and the Seven Ghosts. The characters also have heartfelt friendships and face trials that only makes them stronger and their bonds tighter. Ayanami (the antagonist) lurks from the dark; possessing unwilling souls with Kor to attack Teito and his friends.
07-Ghost is brought to you by Yukino Ichihara (Art) & Yuki Amemiya (Story). Originally published in Monthly Comic Zero-Sum; it was licensed by Go! Comi back in 2008 (around May, I think) and Volume 1 is now available wherever books are sold! Currently airing in Japan is an anime adaption produced by Studio DEEN (Fruits Basket, Hetalia: Axis Powers).

EDIT: Just discovered some info. that suggests that Maki Murakami is putting Zebra on hold to focus on her Gamerz Heaven title. Can anybody confirm this?
I’m sure if you’re a scanlation yaoi fan who’s also a die-hard Gravitation fan you’ve read all the Remixes and the Megamixes. (Heck, I’ve checked out everything I can find by Maki Murakami) Well, fans that have loyally followed the plights of the favorite uke, genius vocalist, and novelist are in for a surprise.
Megamix: Zebra is currently in the works and it will feature Shuichi x Ryuichi x Eiri with Shuichi being the seme! I don’t know about you, but after seeing the end of Megamix: Panda I was daydreaming about how Shuichi would be the seme and about how poor Yuki would *ahem* “take it.” XP
There’s even a pervy image of Shiichi on the Crocodile-Ave. for people to stare at in anticipation!

Viewfinder will find a new publisher for US?
After Central Park Media filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy back in April of this year many of its licenses went up for liquidation and were either picked up or dropped. However, the Viewfinder series was not listed under CPM’s assets to be liquidated after a sordid dispute with Libre Publishing. As it stands now no US publisher holds any rights to the Viewfinder series.
From what I understand both Kitty Media (Media Blasters) and 801 Media are currently fighting for the license. As it stands both companies hold the licenses to Ayano Yamane titles. Kitty with Crimson Spell and 801 Media with A Foreign Love Affair.
The rumors go further with talks about the Viewfinder series being released in omnibus format for $35 (at least I think is was for $35).
